Here's how I Did it ?

Hello everyone! I hope you’re doing well. In the last episodes, I shared advice on our desires and how to achieve them. My team and I thought it would be interesting to take a little retrospective look at everything I’ve experienced so far—having a family, raising children, working abroad, and building great relationships that push us forward. There’s so much to discuss, so I’ll try to be as precise and concise as possible.

As I often say, we all have the ability to realize our dreams—I firmly believe that.

To be honest, when I dig deep into my emotions and vision, I know I can achieve everything I want in life in the long term. Where does this come from? I think it’s due to all the experiences I’ve had with my family, my siblings, traveling, scouting, football, and my strong Catholic faith.

For me, dreams are meant to be realized without a doubt.

So far, I’ve been incredibly lucky and have accomplished several dreams, which boosts my confidence to achieve even greater things and positively impact those around me.

In the latter part of 2019, every Monday morning when I went to work, I felt like throwing up. My wife told me I had to do something because she couldn’t take it anymore, and in football, I was starting to play poorly despite a promotion to the first league in Macau.

So, I resigned, even though I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do next—I just knew what I didn’t want to experience again.

I still remember my last day at work, especially in the taxi on my way back to Hong Kong. I thought I was going to faint from happiness. I was on the phone with my best friend at that moment, and he was amazed.

After resigning and completing my three-month notice period, I took some time for myself, shaved my head as a new beginning, and started listing all the things I had always wanted to do. I realized that the more I put these plans into action, the more liberated I felt.

It’s impressive. I can’t explain it, but I felt things evolving quite rapidly. You might ask how I managed financially—well, I had a bit of savings, and my wife was working too, which made things easier.

In total, it took me about three months to find my calling.

During the six months before I resigned, I worked with a fantastic coach named Mathilde, who really helped me when things weren’t going well at work. I believe that helped me make the decision to move forward.

To succeed, I set small, seemingly trivial goals that had a powerful mental impact. Throughout this process, I realized it’s important to have the humility to ask for help. What I often say is that if you have ambition and truly want to achieve your goals, work on yourself.

I found it amusing to list everything I’ve done over the past four years as an entrepreneur and a father. Not everything worked out, and I still have some debts to settle, but that’s part of the process, and I learn every day.

Here are some things I accomplished:
- Collected a ton of trash from the beach where I live.
- Took courses in meditation and yoga.
- Completed a small diploma in psychology with a university.
- Started a football school on the beach.
- Launched an organic chocolate import business.
- Opened a clinic with my wife.
- Completed a 100 km mountain trail running in 20 hours..
- Took up triathlon and finished a half Ironman.
- Registered for marathons and completed one in under 3 hours and 15 minutes.
- Committed to not drinking alcohol in 2021 and 2023.
- Exercised every day in 2023 for 365 consecutive days.
- Created workshops on positivity and connection in businesses.
- Collaborated with various passionate coaches.
- Led a mentoring program with the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce.
- Joined the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and organized wine and cheese tastings.
- Attended events to network at least twice a week.
and ... I will stop now ! ^^

Oh, and I also had two children, bought a house, and had the chance to specialize in my profession through various coaching diplomas. During Covid, I even spent three weeks in quarantine in a hotel with my family, realizing that I could achieve things I never thought possible.

When I looked at my list, I thought, “Wow, I’m really something!” But this is all part of the experience. I admit that over the past two months in 2024, I’ve significantly reduced my responsibilities to focus on coaching kids in football and Life Coaching.

In 2023, I feel like I got a bit lost, but it also helped me discover so much and meet new people.

I hired a coach who, after a year and a half, when I was thrilled with what I was learning, told me I’d crash if I wanted to leave. That was a tough blow for a few months, but looking back, it turned out to be positive.

It made me realize what I could achieve and what kind of coach I wanted to be. I also explored working with a psychologist and tried hypnosis.

So, that’s a summary of my past four to five years. Looking back, I feel proud of what I’ve accomplished and want to continue down this path. If I can do it, everyone can—there’s no doubt about that.

However, I’m not saying you should quit everything at once, as that can be painful. Prepare your project, talk to people who care about you, seek their opinions, listen to your intuition, and gradually build your confidence through small actions.

That’s what I want to share with you: we all have the capacity to do this. I hope you enjoyed this article, and feel free to ask me any questions. I’ll be more than happy to respond.

Sending you lots of positive energy, love, and beautiful projects ahead!

I've spent over a decade in Asia, initially as a professional football player in France and Hong Kong. In early 2020, I faced personal and work-related challenges, including fertility issues and work-related stress, prompting me to reassess my priorities.

I decided to refocus on what truly mattered to me, quitting football, achieving athletic milestones, and studying psychology. This transformative period led me to become a coach, emphasizing simplicity, sharing, sports, and confidence in my approach. I firmly believe in an individual's potential to achieve their goals with the right mindset and aim to inspire and guide leaders and teams towards success.
